St. Croix Weddings
This is the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands in land mass but St. Croix does not have the largest town (Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas is the capital). If you are interested in St. Croix weddings you may want to focus on one of the two larger towns – Christiansted and Frederiksted. Either of these communities will offer a wonderful Danish/European atmosphere that may well be perfect for your ceremony.
However, with the population of about 50,000 scattered about the island, St. Croix also offers the opportunity for a beautiful outdoor wedding since it is home to several great parks. Visitors have found Salt River Bay and Buck Island to be among the best ocean-related scenery in the world. What could be better for your special day?

St. Croix Weddings -- Continue
St. Croix is easily accessible by air or by daily ferry from St. Thomas. In addition, the island group’s only casino is on St. Croix, offering yet another great pastime for family and friends attending your ceremony. Wedding coordinators focus on the relatively crowd-free beaches and other locations that welcome couples on their special day.
One of the great attractions of St. Croix weddings is the relaxed atmosphere and wonderful weather that is sometimes not available at home. Not only that, but after the ceremony and reception are complete, this island offers a perfect place for the couple to retreat and begin life together. As with the other islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands group, the legal and formal arrangements are relatively stress-free because this is a United States territory.
If you leave sufficient lead time, the application process can be handled by mail. With the assistance of an experienced local wedding planner/coordinator, St. Croix weddings are more than a dream. They are a real possibility. It’s best to plan on taking care of the licensing and other legal arrangements on a weekday. In some cases you may be able to get local-government service on a weekend but there will be a hefty fee. In other cases, this is not an option.
Turn your thoughts to a beach wedding with the ocean as one backdrop and the lush tropical forest as another. Maybe the Danish/European appearance of buildings from the 18th century is more to your liking. These are certainly available in Christiansted and Frederiksted. If you would like to experience a wedding on the water, local planners can arrange a ceremony on a sailing yacht or power yacht.
Contact one of the local coordinators and catering companies to arrange a complete St. Croix weddings package.
